Leo the Labra

In Artist’s Words

I named this painting “Leo the Labra” after a friend’s dog named Leo. I always thought Leo was such a lovely, playful name for a dog, and somehow it felt just right for this little portrait. I wanted to capture the curious and expressive character of a Labrador through his eyes and textured fur. If you happen to have a dog named Leo, I think it would be pretty wonderful if this little Leo found his way home to you. Even if you don’t, I think he makes a charming little artwork to hang on your wall or keep on your table a small companion with a personality of his own.

Every original painting features multiple layers of paint and visible brushstrokes. Surface texture, raised paint, and natural variations are intentional characteristics of the artwork and are not considered flaws.

Colours may appear slightly different across screens and under varying lighting conditions.
